First post here as I have just received a BU16 gen 3. My plan was to use the BU16 with the eurorack module 4MS metamodule, which accept MIDI devices via usb-c. The module works correctly as my korg nanokontrol works fine with it, but the BU16 is not recognised using the same USB-A to C adapter.
The BU16 works if use a CME H2MIDI host in between the BU16 and the 4MS module. The CME host is plugged directly to the metamodule via usb-c, with the BU16 connected to the CME H2MIDI via usb A.
There is a discussion of the issue affecting all intech studio devices with this module on the 4MS metamodule forum, with some users pointing to issues with the intech firmware, but no solutions aside from using an external midi host (as I did).
Any ideas on how to solve this issue? It would be lovely to not use the CME device in between the two units! Thanks
