Controlling a boss sy 1000 with sysex

Has anyone been successful in controlling any of the Boss synth pedals such us the SY 1000? Any experiences using say the EN 16 with guitar pedals?

I have used PO16, EN16 and PFB4 grids to control an Empress Zoia guitar pedal with no problems, works perfectly. You can read a bit about my setup here:

Great that you got that working, I have a Zoia myself so good to know, did you use sysex messages in this set up? The only way I can get beyond the limitations of 16 assaigns per patch is to use sysex, but haven’t seen anyone using it with the likes of the BOSS SY series.

Sorry, I am using a Jamstik as my MIDI guitar, and nothing I have requires SysEx, so I have not tried to send any SyEx messages to Zoia yet. I have seen others using SysEx so hopefully another user can help you.
