Help with LEDs, articulations please?

Hi all. I’m a Grid newbie. I do not want to dive deeply into it, as my sole need is for my BU16 to select articulations in my Cinematic Studio Strings sample library. 14 buttons select the articulation, the two remaining buttons toggle Legato and Con Sordino modes on and off (in Kontakt 8 in Logic.)

My system generally is doing the right thing, but I have three questions:

1. I used the Button Mode action. On the toggle buttons, the first time I press one its LED comes on, but does not go off when I next hit the button. How to fix this?

2. When I first connect the BU16, the first half dozen toggle button presses seem to send out the wrong command, before it finally settles into the right behavior. How to fix this?

3. Are the double messages necessary? They don’t affect the performance, but they make editing harder. How to fix this?

Hi,

Put the MIDI block in the press/release action block to prevent sending out MIDI messages twice.

The LED’s intensity is based on the button value. If you send out 71 and 81, the LED’s intensity will stay lit. Use an If/Else block to turn off the LED when the button value is 71.
