How to use sysex to map encoders to synth LFO rate??

Hi all, I recently got an EN 16 (contineous), and want to understand how to use sysex to control variables such us lfo rate, or even volume.
What type of sysex string do you need to use so that when you rotate the encoder it changes the desired parameter accordingly? And how do you input it into the midi block on the Grid editor? Very greatful for any pointers.

Hi!

SysEx is kind of a complex topic. We have an Action called MIDI SysEx that you can use to send any kind of SysEx message with Grid modules. But you’ll have to know the exact SysEx strings your device is looking for.

Thanks for getting back, I have the sysex string for my device, (I’m trying to controll a boss sy 1000) but I just wanted to know how it works in the grid action for sysex where it says “val”, for value. How does it work when you are changing the parameter up and down? how do you determine the range?
any ideas, or anyone who has managed this with a different synth?
