How to use the buttons on PBF4 for solo of group channels in Cubase 14

Hi, I have 24 group channels in Cubase and have succeeded in assigning the faders and pots of 3 x connected PBF4 units to the faders and panning of these group busses via Cubase Midi remote.

What I cannot for the life of me work out how to do is assign the buttons on the PBF4 to toggle the solo of the respective channels on and off. I would ideally like to have two LED display states, brighter for engaged solo and normal brightness otherwise. When I try and assign a button to the solo function via midi remote in Cubase it just doesn’t work.

Is there some kind soul here who could walk me through it? I don’t have any coding or scripting knowledge, so an idiotproof explanation would be thankfully received!

That’s probably because the buttons on the PBF4 send out Note On messages by default. Try changing the buttons to send out CCs, like described here: 1.0: Editor overview | Intech Studio Documentation
