The description for the travel case says it fits two Grid modules and two Knots. If one does not have knots, can the Travel Case fit 4 modules instead? Thank you!
Welcome to the forum!
I don’t think you’d be able to fit 4 Grid modules in that carrying case. Judging by the picture, the Knot sits just underneath one of the modules and it’s about half the thickness of one module’s base (without the knobs or faders on). While you ‘might’ be able to hack the case up to get 4 modules in it, I don’t think it’d be recommended.
Just my thoughts though.
OK, thank you very much for the reply. I was not sure of the size of the knot compared to the other modules, your answer makes sense if it is thinner. I will look for another solution!
In case (no pun intended) anyone is interested, my solution is to use a padded lunchbox made of soft material, and stack the modules inside separated by sponges cut into 13x13x2.5 cm squares. I can fit up to four modules and all seem well enough protected on all sides.
I have a module case in which I cut out the compartment designed for knot and this way I can fit 4 modules but it is not ideal. It only works with one PO/EN16 and One BU16 on each side, or with EF44’s
Thank you Suku, it good to know it can be modified to work for certain module combinations. Maybe there will be enough demand into the future to produce a case that will fit 4 or more modules of any type.
