Yesterday I got another VSN1. I just wanted to duplicate my existing project, which I created under Grid 1.6.2 and FW 1.5.0 beginning of the year.
Basically, I got it up and running under the current 1.6.5/1.5.1. But when testing I figured out quite fast that there’s something wrong and not working properly on this new unit.
So I decided to go back to 1.6.2/1.5.0 to check the unit - et voila - everything up and running. OK for the moment.
I remember that I run into this trap at least one more time in the past.
This is a little bit annoying/frustrating: most of the community code in the project cloud to get inspiration from does not really help if it’s not maintained or usable within the latest available app/fw versions (and there’s a lot!).
At one of the next weekends I will sit down and rework my projects to 1.6.5 / 1.5.1 and update them in the profile cloud
@developers there should be a possibility or better hard requirement to tag a project with the App/FW version to avoid further frustration, besides beeing able to downgrade a grid to a specific version without diving deep through Github
